Quite simply, we have the best “office” anybody could ask for. We get to enjoy the fresh air, the sunshine, and a bird’s-eye view of our community!
2. Roofing is a Wagner Family Tradition
NW Roofing is owned and operated by Jerred Wagner – a second generation roofer who continues to deliver on the company values set by his father, Neil, in 1978.
Although roofers typically work long hours, our job never means sacrificing time with family. With all of Neil’s children taking on various roles within our company over the years, NW Roofing remains a family run business more than 40 years later.
3. Roofing is Rich with History…While Embracing Modern Technology
Over the years, we’ve not only seen an evolution in roofing tools, techniques, and materials, we’ve also had the privilege of working on some of the area’s historic buildings. And we’ve proven that the “old” and the “new” are entirely compatible.
Where we would once use heavy, fragile, quarried slate, we can now use modern, synthetic materials that deliver the appearance of slate while offering greater durability and extended lifespan. In New Hamburg, we replaced the aging slate on Trinity Lutheran Church’s steeple and main roof with Authentic Roof ™, a more durable composite material that matches the character of the historic structure.
Even the traditional asphalt shingle has come a long way in terms of quality and style options to complement modern and historic buildings. In one notable upgrade, we replaced the worn shingles on the 150-year-old Puddicombe House – one of New Hamburg’s most notable buildings featuring Italianate architecture and rich décor – with beautiful architectural CRC Shingles from the BiltmoreTM Collection.
4. Giving Back to Our Community
If we were to take a drive anywhere through the area, we could point out numerous homes and businesses where we’ve left our mark in the form of beautiful, expertly installed roofs. But our contributions to the community don’t end there.
From event sponsorships, such as fireworks displays at Canada Day in Wilmot celebrations, to sponsoring area sports – including the Wilmot Wild Lacrosse, the Tavistock Royals, and Waterloo Oxford’s Women’s Rugby teams – we’ve helped foster community spirit in Oxford County and surrounding areas and shown our pride in our great Country.
As an employer, we’ve provided and created numerous jobs as NW Roofing has grown over the years. We’ve instilled our values of quality workmanship and outstanding customer service in many roofers, and we’re proud to maintain a skilled, courteous team of long-term employees.
